Knitwitz
is
a small company based in Richmond, Virginia, specializing in hand-knit goodies,
such as hats and scarves. All of our products are made with care, by hand,
and these one-of-a-kind hats are also washable.
Knitwitz was conceived by the creative minds of My Luong and Roberta Leone
in the winter of 2001. Roberta, a real-mean-knitting-machine, joined forces
with My, a graphic designer, to answer to the call of friends and family
needing stylish winter gear. Their first, and most popular design, to date,
is the Skullz hat. After realizing that baby's heads would also need warmth
and style, Knitwitz expanded (or shrunk a little, rather), to accomodate
the smaller noggins. Scarves, mittens, purses, and even leg-warmers are
available through special orders.
We at Knitwitz know
how special that "homey" feeling is when you put on your favorite
winter hat. You know, the one that fits your head perfectly because you've
had it forever...the one that's been to the end of the world and back with
you... the one that you accidently left at that restaurant and drove two
hours back just to retrieve.... Things like that have more meaning, maybe
because your loved one gave it to you for that special occasion and it has
your initials in it. Or maybe just because that color looks so good against
your pink cheeks. With each and every hat we make, we hope to pass that
feeling along. We hope you wear your hat as much as you can, that it shapes
to your head, and that you grow to love it. Take it with you on that camping
trip, that mountain get-away, or just a stroll through the park. And rest
assured, since each hat is made to order and customized to your liking,
